Into the Woods is a musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapin that combines elements of several popular fairy tale stories like Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Rapunzel, and Little Red Riding Hood with an original story about a baker and his wife trying to start a family. The musical debuted in 1986 and Disney released a film adaption in 2014. On Nov. 19 and 20, Theater South performed its own rendition of Into the Woods accompanied by a full student pit orchestra.

One caption incorrectly identified the Baker’s Wife as senior Elora Aclin. Junior Isabella Malfi performed this role. The Witch does return to her youthful appearance at the end of Act 1; however, the image used with the caption was not one of The Witch at the end of Act 1 but instead during Act 2. The cast does not bow at the end of Act 1 but at the end of Act 2.
