Cari Raphael, Sports Editor
My name is Cari Raphael. I am a senior, and this will be my third year on the Southerner. I am the Sports Editor, which goes hand in hand with my passion for sports journalism. I, like many on the paper, found my love for writing while watching Gilmore Girls, a very loved show by members of the paper. Other inspirations for my love of writing come from Taylor Swift. In addition than sports, I love writing about topics that reveal things to students; examples of this would be my animal cruelty article, the history of Great Neck article and more. I love the Southerner and have loved watching it grow over the years.
