In Between Sounds—Wired’s lead vocalist Alyssa Wong passionately covers Olivia Rodrigo’s hit-song “vampire” with fiery background instrumentals from guitarists Kian Marcus(left) and Amanda Won (right). Alexis Dorf is a senior at Great Neck South High School and the editor-in-chief of The Southerner. Alexis has been writing for the paper since her sophomore year. Apart from The Southerner, you may find Alexis performing in any Theatre South event. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, listening to Taylor Swift, running while listening to Taylor Swift, and shopping at Trader Joe’s.
Madeleine Lennox
Madeleine Lennox, News Editor
Madeleine Lennox is a junior at South High School and the News Editor of The Southerner. In her second year on the paper, she hopes to continue informing the student body of school events and relevant issues. Outside of school, she is an avid crocheter, painter, and reader. She is co-President of the History Club, an Editor for Exit 33, and co-Vice President of the Art Club.
