Annie Yao, Editor-in-Chief
Ann “Annie” Yao is a senior and the editor-in-chief of The Southerner. Since joining as a junior, she has written articles and created spreads around cultural impacts, community cohesion, and student voice. Outside of the paper, Annie hopes to do the yearbook justice as editor-in-chief, and supports sustainable gardening as co-president of AREA-C and TUGI. She can usually be found in the art room, jamming to music and chatting with friends.
Madeleine Lennox, News Editor
Madeleine Lennox is a junior at South High School and the News Editor of The Southerner. In her second year on the paper, she hopes to continue informing the student body of school events and relevant issues. Outside of school, she is an avid crocheter, painter, and reader. She is co-President of the History Club, an Editor for Exit 33, and co-Vice President of the Art Club.
