Midterm Schedule Change Explained

In previous years midterms have been administered on Monday and Tuesday, and a survey of the student body and Student Government showed strong support for the system. Students believed that the tests should be given on Monday and Tuesday so that they could devote their weekends to studying and transition directly to the tests.
So why would the midterms be changed to Wednesday and Thursday this year? The Lunar New Year falls on the Monday of the week when midterms are normally given. In order to accommodate students who will observe the holiday, the midterm schedule was changed. Principal Ms. Susan Elliott said, “My expectation is next year we will go back to Monday and Tuesday, and that is the way it will be from now on.”
