Yuna Kim, Special Features Editor
Yuna Kim is a junior at Great Neck South High School and Special Features Editor for The Southerner. She is excited for her first year on The Southerner and hopes to share her passion for writing and art with the student body. Outside of the paper, she enjoys running on the track team, exploring NYC, and listening to rock music from around the world. She will eagerly give or take music recommendations from any genre and language!
Zhishu Sun, Staff Writer
Zhishu (Zoe) Sun is a junior at GNSHS and a staff writer for The Southerner. This is her first year writing for the newspaper but her second year taking Journalism. She enjoys covering culture, opinions and art history, often drawing connections between past and present. Outside of journalism, Zoe practices Chinese calligraphy, tutors English for recent immigrants and loves watching Disney movies.
Phoebe Mark, News Editor
Phoebe Mark is a senior at Great Neck South High School and is thrilled to be the Co-News Editor for The Southerner this year. This is her third year taking journalism and second year writing for the paper. She enjoys covering events within the school community and incorporating her passion for theatre in her writing. Outside of The Southerner, she loves performing in the fall musical and many of Theatre South’s other productions throughout the school year.
