Olivia Gu, Opinions Editor
Olivia Gu is a sophomore at Great Neck South High School and Opinions editor for The Southerner. This is her first year on the paper, but her second year in journalism. Over the past year, she has enjoyed writing features on school news and Op-eds/reviews on the newest movies and restaurants, and she can’t wait to continue them this year! Outside of the newsroom, Olivia can be found practicing clarinet for the school’s Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra, reading, or studying Spanish. She is also co-president of the Class of 2026 planning.
